The Ukrainian Forces have advanced deep into the enemy’s defense lines on the Kharkiv axis, gaining a foothold in the liberated territories.
This was stated by Oleksii Hromov, deputy chief of the main operational department of the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“The enemy does not engage in active hostilities on the Kharkiv axis, instead attempting to maintain control of captured territories and launching rocket strikes. Ukraine’s defense forces advanced deep into the enemy’s defense lines and established a foothold in the liberated areas “Hromov stated.
Enemy forces continue to use various types of artillery in the Chernihiv, Konotop, and Sumy areas. However, the number of such shelling incidents has dropped from 50 to 39. In the last week, one rocket shelling was recorded.
Hromov also stated that in order to divert the attention of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a group of troops guarding the Russian state border has been deployed in Ukraine’s border regions. “Among these troops are conscripts and officers who refused to fight in Ukraine,” he explained.
Hromov previously stated that the likelihood of an enemy attack from Belarus or Belarusian troops invading Ukraine is still low.
