Invaders shelled a school in Avdiyivka with phosphorus ammunition: it burned to the ground


The army of the occupying state of the Russian Federation does not stop shelling Avdiyivka in the Donetsk region.


On the night of May 18, the Russian army shelled the city with prohibited phosphorus ammunition. The enemy destroyed another educational institution in the Donetsk region – Avdiyivka School No. 1.

This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavel Kirilenko.

According to him, the school burned to the ground. There were no casualties. In the building of the educational institution there were only those on duty, they managed to escape.

“Before the large-scale Russian invasion, more than 200 children studied at Avdiivka school No. 1. Guests often came here from different parts of the country and from abroad. Now there are ruins. The school did not have a single military, not a single military equipment. Just Russians, like always, purposefully destroy civilian infrastructure,” the head of the UVA stressed.

In total, since February 24, Russians in the Donetsk region have damaged and destroyed 416 educational institutions: 181 kindergartens, 191 schools, 23 vocational education institutions and 21 higher educational institutions.

As reported, in the Donetsk region over the past day, on May 17, the police documented 28 Russian attacks – there are dead and wounded. Among the wounded is a 9-year-old boy. 52 civilian objects were destroyed – residential buildings, three schools, industrial enterprises, a farm, and critical infrastructure facilities.
