The death toll from a Russian missile strike on Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region has risen to 30 people.

“Rescue workers extracted nine injured and 30 dead people from the rubble. The State Emergency Service officers removed 65 percent of the rubble, or 170 tonnes of the building’s destroyed elements. The work is still in progress “Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, posted on Telegram.

Tymoshenko stated that the operation involved 56 rescuers and nine equipment units. On-site equipment includes two loaders, two mobile cranes, and a motor grader. Two ambulances are on the scene.

According to reports, on the evening of July 9, Russian invaders fired Uragan missiles at a 5-story residential building in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region. Two of the house’s entrances were completely destroyed.

Earlier, it was reported that the bodies of 26 victims had been discovered and that 9 people had been rescued from the rubble.
