Today’s meeting of military delegations from Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, and UN officials resulted in an agreement on technical issues concerning grain exports from Ukraine via the Black Sea.

Following the four-way meeting in Istanbul, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar stated as much.
“Following the meeting, which took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere,” the minister said, “an agreement has been reached on basic technical issues, such as the establishment of a coordination center in Istanbul, where representatives from all sides will be present, joint controls at port entry and exit, and ensuring navigational safety on transfer routes.”
Hulusi Akar also announced that another meeting in Turkey will be held next week to go over the details of the agreement and sign the necessary documents.
The military delegations of Turkey, Ukraine, and Russia, as well as the United Nations delegation, met in Istanbul on July 13 to discuss the export of Ukrainian grain and other agricultural products via the Black Sea.
